Basic MIG Morning

MIG welding is the fastest welding process.

It is quite easy to get used to, however if you are thinking of setting up a welder in your own workspace this is can be quite an expensive setup. Most good machines are over £1000 new, and you need a contract with a gas supplier.

The purpose of this class is to teach you how to MIG weld and then give some time and space to practise, so for this class we concentrate more on sticking metal together rather than making a specific object.

We will only be taking one person at a time for this class, and will be a combination of demonstration and hands on practice. You will have access to your own welder throughout the class.

You will be provided with safety gear to use during the class -helmet, leather coat, leather gloves, and goggles. It is essential that you wear strong shoes and full length trousers that will be resistant to sparks and offer protection from pieces of metal being dropped to attend the class.

This is a 1 1/2hour class and the cost is £65 inc materials.
